‘Carers' can often feel isolated and alone and without any help or support. However, in Slough, we (the DAAT) are dedicated to working with these ‘hidden' individuals.

Working within our Carers Involvement Action plan we are trying to improve the services available for Slough residents affected by a loved ones substance use and involve them in the strategic decision making processes that could help to shape drug and alcohol treatment services in Slough.

We are working closely with DrugFAM -

A family support service to support families, friends and loved ones affected by substance misuse. You can contact the DrugFAM helpline on 08453 883853. They are available 9am - 9pm to answer your queries.

To help us make sure we can develop the best support and involvement for carers we need to speak to YOU! Only a family member, loved one or friend of a substance user knows what they want from services made available to support them.
