Julia is responsible for the day to day management of the DAAT. Julia ensures that the work of the DAAT is coordinated successfully across the Borough. This involves commissioning preventative and treatment services in line with local need, managing the performance of providers, developing strategies and plans, and communicating activities and performance to all stakeholders.
Amy’s work focuses on community engagement to promote the DAAT and the services available. She liaises with the police, residents, businesses and other groups to deliver initiatives that help to reduce the harm caused to communities by drugs and alcohol misuse. She also: works to provide training courses for professionals around substance misuse, works with service users to promote involvement and improve service provision, and supports groups provided by the DAAT for the family of substance users.
Emma's role involves monitoring the performance of treatment services and providing commissioning support. Emma's key responsibilities are to analyse performance management information and data from a variety of sources ensuring that both local and national requirements are being met. She also manages the performance of services against their contracts to make sure they delivering these services accordingly.
Jo's work includes working with pharmacies and specialised services on specific projects such as needle exchange and shared care – working on treatment with primary care providers such as GPs for people who use drugs. She also works to improve referral pathways between services across Slough to ensure the best treatment path for clients.
